Frequently Asked Questions

Below are the questions we get most often from guests. If something is not covered, please get in touch — we answer every message personally.

Booking & arrival

What time is check-in and check-out?+
Check-in is from 15:00 to 23:00 (until midnight at Apartment Baštun and Dujka’s Balatura). Check-out is between 07:00 and 10:00. Please tell us your arrival time when you book — we monitor flight delays and stay flexible where we can.
Where do I park?+
Sika Split and Sika Solin include private parking on the property. For Baštun and Dujka’s Balatura, private parking can be arranged on request; there are also public garages and street parking within a 5-minute walk. Tell us when you book and we will share the parking instructions and the entry code if needed.
How do I find you when I arrive?+
We have a step-by-step photo guide at /how-to-find-us/. We meet you in person at the door — share your flight or ETA when you book and we will be there. The front-door lock has a knack to it, but we walk you through it on the spot.

Inside the apartment

Is Wi-Fi included?+
Yes — free fast Wi-Fi in every apartment, suitable for streaming and remote work.
Are towels and linens provided?+
Yes — fresh towels and bed linens for every guest. Beach towels are available on request — just ask before you arrive.
Is the kitchen fully equipped?+
Yes — every apartment has a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, stove, kettle, coffee maker, dishes, and cookware. Sika Split, Baštun, and Dujka’s Balatura also include a dishwasher. Sika Solin has a compact kitchenette ideal for light cooking and breakfast.
Is there air conditioning?+
Yes — split A/C in all bedrooms and living areas across every apartment.
Do you serve breakfast?+
No — our apartments are self-catered, not a hotel. Excellent bakeries (Bobis, Dida Boža) and the Green Market are 2–3 minutes from our Split apartments — many of our guests grab fresh burek or pastries each morning.

Policies

Do you allow pets?+
No — we are sorry, but we do not accept pets in any of our apartments.
Do you provide cribs or high chairs?+
No — we currently do not have cribs or high chairs available. Please plan accordingly if you are travelling with very young children.
How do I pay?+
Through Booking.com — they handle all card payment when you book. On arrival you only pay the Croatian tourist tax (sojourn tax), which can be paid in cash or by card.
What is the tourist tax?+
Croatian law requires a small tourist tax (boravišna pristojba) — typically around €1.50–2 per adult per night, half for guests 12–18, and free for children under 12. Paid once on arrival.
What is the cancellation policy?+
It matches the rate you booked on Booking.com. Most rates allow free cancellation up to 7–14 days before arrival; check your reservation confirmation for your specific terms.

Practical Split tips

What is the closest beach?+
Bačvice beach is a 15-minute flat walk from our Split apartments — sandy and shallow, great for families. For pristine clear water, the ferries from Split take you to Hvar, Brač, and Šolta.
Where is the nearest supermarket?+
For our Split apartments: Konzum is about 3 minutes on foot, and Tommy or Lidl 5–7 minutes. For Sika Solin, several supermarkets are within a 5-minute drive.
Can I leave my luggage after check-out (or before check-in)?+
Yes — we can store your luggage at our office for the day at no extra charge. Just ask when you book or message us the day before.
How do I reach you with a question or in an emergency?+
Use the contact form on this site or message us via the Booking.com app. We typically reply within an hour during the day. For urgent matters at night, the Booking app is fastest.
